Disappointment

We went to the Homestead to mow. When I got ready to unload the mower, I noticed that the belt that powers the blades was nearly broken (A rat may have chewed it). I didn’t want to chance trying to mow with that belt. Fortunately, I brought the T-post driver along, some twisting wire and pliers, and I was able to brace 3 wooden posts in the orchard.

Mowed and weed-eat the Homestead

Mowed and weed-eat the Homestead today. The grass was mostly green and was easy to cut.

MOWED THE NOT YET A HOMESTEAD

Mowed and weedeated the Homestead. This is the first mowing since July 2024, and I was expecting it to be a mess. But thanks be to God it hasn’t rained a lot, and it wasn’t in bad shape. I had colon surgery in August and I haven’t been fit to do much work.

Mowed The Homestead

Mowed and weed eat today. The mowing wasn't bad, the grass wasn't tall and thick.

Mowed The Homestead Yesterday - June 10, 2024

The mowing wasn't as difficult as the last time. I hope the upcoming mowing will be much easier and the finish will look much better.

I really hope I can get a small shelter on the property before long, before wintertime would be great. I also want to get a garden spot fixed where we can grow food. Of course I don't want the property to turn in to a jungle, but just mowing it isn't paying off.

Mowed The Homestaed

Mowed and weed-eat the Homestead today. This is the first time the Homestead has been mowed this year. Piper went with us. He, Ann, and me all had a rough day. The grass was a mess, it was tall and tough.

The bigshot neighbor who told me in the beginning to talk to the state garage about putting in a driveway, pulled up beside us on the highway (our truck was parked on the grass at the Homestead). Sitting there in his big pickup truck, he acted all nice. I didn't recognize him. He looked different. I asked him his name and when he said he used to drive a red truck, my wife recognized him.

Did A Little Pruning At The Homestead

Pruned all the fruit trees, the persimmon tree, the blue berry bushes, and also the blackberry. Fertilized everything.
